Size and waist. Always both.
Most size charts give you a number that means something different in every brand. Ours gives you two: the size number and the waist in inches. A 0 is a 24 in waist. A 15 is a 32 in waist. A 14W is a 36 in waist.
The plain number stops being useful exactly where the fit gets hard.
In most ranges, the step from a misses 15 to a plus 14W adds about half an inch to the waist and two full inches to the hip — a different body, not a bigger version of the same one. If your chart only shows the number, your customer finds that out in a fitting room.
Four fit blocks, not one.
- Missy — sizes 0(24) to 15(32). Hip-to-waist difference narrows from 10.5 in to 9.5 in up the run.
- Plus (W) — sizes 14W(36) to 24W(46). A separate block with a constant 11 in difference. It is not a graded Missy.
- Curvy — the same size numbers as Missy, redistributed for a 12 in+ difference.
- Petite — the same silhouettes with rise and inseam adjusted. Not a shortened regular.

Structure shown; the complete chart — including hip measurements, grade rule and the sample-measured column — ships as a PDF and as a laminated counter card for approved wholesale accounts.
If a production run falls outside tolerance, it does not ship.
Fit tolerance: finished garment measurements are held to ±0.5 in on waist, hip and inseam.
